What the tour is like

Your guide walks you through the vineyard, then into the winery building for a tour of the cellars and winemaking. Three wines are poured — usually barrel, previous vintage, current release — at this one estate. This is the honest point: at €60, you taste at one winery, not three. After the tasting, the guide leads a walk through the medieval village, pointing out the church, ramparts, and main square. You stop at a local macaron maker for a tasting of the village speciality (macarons are almond cookies, not to be confused with French macarons). Free time in the village center.
