What the full day is like

Central Bordeaux pickup around 8 am. The minibus heads north on the D2 toward Pauillac, the heart of the 1855 Classified estates. Stop at the first winery, a Classified Growth or top Cru Bourgeois. Cellar tour with two or three Cabernet wines poured from barrel and current release. Second stop further north, similar format. Around noon, the group reaches Pauillac or another Médoc village. Lunch is free time — you find a café, bistro, or restaurant yourself (not included). After lunch, return and visit a third estate. More Cabernet, more châteaux conversation. Return to Bordeaux by 4–5 pm. The day is longer than the half-day tour; you see three estates and drive deeper into the famous 1855 region.

This tour is purely Médoc estates; you stop in a village for lunch so you can choose your own restaurant or café. The combo tour includes a château picnic because it’s coordinated across two regions. If you want lunch included, book the €195 all-inclusive tour.

How far north do you go?

Pauillac is the northern reach, about 45 km from Bordeaux. That’s where Latour, Pichon Longueville, and other First Growths live. Your guide explains the landmarks as you drive the D2.

Is this better than the combo if I only like Cabernet?
